Alta HR not working outside the charger

My Alta HR keeps turning off every night. I cannot turn it back on unless it is charging/plugged into my laptop - it won't charge when I plug it into the wall and takes a long time to turn back on. I have turned off all of the notifications and alarms already.

Thanks for troubleshooting this turning off issue. I would like to know if you keep having problems with your Alta HR? If you do, I recommend restating the unit by following the steps in the article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?.
