Alta HR showing the green lights even when the heart rate is off

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Alta HR has a solid green light whether I am wearing it or not. I have turned off the heart rate option and the green light remains solid.  I have attempted to reset the Fitbit with no resolution.  Thr solid green light is very disruptive to my sleep. It is my hope that an update is released soon to correct this issue.

I’m having same problem only after 1year 5 months... Did you ever resolve the green light issue?

Is that the same as rebooting-plugging in charger & pressing black button 3X..   I did that-no change

if not please tell?

This just came up for me last night. Noticed it was dead, so I charged it up a little last night before bed. When I woke up it was dead again! ???

So I've tried the restart: Didn't work.

Tried the heart rate on/off thing: Still didn't work.

Also I noticed the display seemed to "flicker" in varying brightness.

Seeing a lot of replies not making confident that FitBit will EVER actually help on this.

How long have you had your Fitbit?     I agree this seems to be a common problem suggesting

a defective issue but when I chatted with Fitbit all they say is past the 365 days can offer you 25% off another Fitbit...  I’m debating about getting Garmin instead..  mine was only 1 yr 5 months not long enough for the money paid & they do nothing

Mine did there same thing. I hope you get it solved and can then share with
the coming your solution. If it's under warranty, they could replace it.

These watches are a joke. This is the 3rd one to do this. I’ve had one just quit working and another just stuck on the battery screen. 2 more just started shuffling screens so fast you can’t read it and it never stops changing the screen 24/7. I’ve had 4 different charge hr quit. I had 3 charge hr 2 stop working and the old Fitbit one two of those quit on me. I paid full price for all but one I got a 15% discount since I “managed to break” mine. How the heck have I broken 15 of these things. I also have had just one Apple Watch and crazy thing is it’s never had to be thrown away or replaced and I got it about the same time as the Fitbit zip came out. These products are a waste of time and junk. They give you a slight discount and are quick to hand it out cause from all the times I look up an issue there are literally thousands of the same problems with no solutions. Just throw it away make sure your lithium battery leaches into the earth. The hundreds of thousands they are just telling people to throw away is a complete travesty and shows you how little this company truly cares about its impact on the world around it. Yes I did all your restarts and button pushing within 4 seconds. I let it die and tried resetting. Let it die and sit a few days then reset. Let it die and just charge it. I’ve literally done everything I’ve ever read to fix this and well since this is the 3rd or 4th one to do this and they don’t care to fix it and don’t care to take them in for repair just buy a new one throw that one away and help destroy this planet that Fitbit just pays the fines on waste instead of fixing the issue. Right to repair will be the only savior of this company.

And the only reason I bought that many cause it was a nice way to connect with my father and keep him active and accountable. I bought us Apple watches now. I’ve spent literally thousands on these watches and there is absolutely no support to fix them.
