Got a little wet put it in rice for three days. The lights have stoped flashing but all functions are working on the screen other then BP rate. It showed three dashes but now is glitching. I have it off my skin and it’s reading 114, was up to 190 at one point. I have reset a few times already and yes I checked the auto on off setting.

Hi there, @Sing83. Thanks for stopping by in the Community Forums and trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Alta HR before reaching out. I understand where your concern is coming from. @NellyG Thanks for your help!

As you may know, if your device got wet, it’s important to take it off and dry it well before putting it back on. On the other hand, if your device has come into contact with any liquid other than fresh water, you should clean it with fresh water and a soap-free cleanser and dry it with a lint free-cloth.

If you've done the above but to no avail, please confirm that you've restarted your Fitbit device as instructed here How do I restart my Fitbit device?

If the restart doesn't work either and your watch hasn't vibrated for the restart process, I'd recommend trying the steps below:

  • Clean the charging contacts on the back of your device and the pins on your charging cable using the instructions in How do I clean my Fitbit device?
  • If the error "insufficient power source" appears on your device's screen, remove other devices plugged in to your power source, or plug your device in to another source.
  • Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
  • Check the alignment and try reconnecting your device to the charging cable. For more information, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  • Restart your Fitbit once again.

Hi @Sing83 Unfortunately the Alta HR is not water resistant, so it probably has some water damage. There is nothing you can do if that is the problem. Sorry - you might need a new tracker
