About 5 weeks ago, I accidentally sent my Fitbit through the washer and dryer. When I plugged it in the charger afterwards, the Fitbit icon showed and the Fitbit vibrated constantly. I unplugged it and did some research.
It seemed that some people had luck with letting it sit in rice for awhile. One person said at least two weeks. I tried it. Every few days, I would plug it in the charge again to see if anything was happening. Eventually, the dead battery icon showed, but it was still vibrating constantly, so I returned it to the rice.
After two weeks, I charged it successfully without vibrating. But, alas, no other function than to show a full battery. I returned it to the rice. After 5 weeks, I decided it was a waste and I needed to just throw it away. But I decided to charge it one more time... just in case. AND IT WORKED!
I now have a functioning Fitbit again. The battery charge doesn't seem to last quite as long, but I can live with that. Be sure to give yours plenty of time to sit in the rice before giving up.
