Alta HR will not charge

In the past when I charged my Fitbit the battery icon would appear. This morning nothing, and it is not charging. I cleaned the terminals. I tried to restart the Fitbit by pushing the button at the end if the cord 3 times within 8 seconds, leaving a slight pause in between, but nothing. 

Any advice or pointers please.

Hi @ConcreteKevin Unfortunately the Alta HR is now an old tracker, so they are beginning to die off. It could be the charger that is at fault but no way to check this if you dont know someone with the correct Alta HR charger you can try. DO try a different USB slot or charger though as it is possible that is the problem. But sadly it sounds as if your HR is dead. If it won't restart or  charge there is nothing else you can try. Sorry

I was able to borrow an Alta HR charger, and now my Fitbit is charging. I will buy a new cord.
