Alta HR won't pair anymore

I have a fully updated Android phone and have done Bluetooth restarts, restarted the Alta Hr, and restarted the phone multiple times. The screen just says "www.fitbit.com/setup." Only time it changes is when I need the pairing code. After entering the pairing code, it goes back to "www.fitbit.com/setup" despite continuing with the setup process on the phone. The phone recognizes that the device is paired and ready for use, but the device shows nothing except the "www.fitbit.com/setup"

I know these devices are discontinued. Does that mean they dropped all support for the devices and now they are completely unusable?

Hi there, @uspsdave. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Alta HR and taking the time to troubleshoot it before reaching out.

As our last resort, I'd recommend trying the following steps in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Fitbit device from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Fitbit device.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Fitbit device.
  • Once your Fitbit device is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

I have exactly the same issue.

This can't be a coincidence!

This is me too!

I've tried everything.

Can't be a coincidence that some of us are experiencing the same thing at the same time.

Quick update!

I spent an hour on chat trying to sort mine out.

Guess what... nothing worked!!

However I've been sent a discount code for a new one which is great, apart from the fact there's nothing wrong with the device itself, it's working fine 😞

I guess they tried.
