Alta HR won't track heart rate

My Alta HR heart rate monitor isn't working even though the green lights are still blinking. This just started 3 days ago and my friend with a Versa said hers hasn't been recording heart rate either. I tried restarting the device, updating the app, turning off and on the heart rate function. Nothing is working.
