Hi @cmikiako  Try restarting it several times and then leavebit on charge for a coiple of hours. If there is still no sign of life repeat the restarts etc. Bybthe way, how long have you owned the Alta HR?

How do I restart my fitbit? I accidentally charged it all night, now it isn't doing anything. I see some people say to restart, but I don't know how?

Hey @MrsMiracle, welcome to the Forums!

If you want to restart your Alta HR, you just need to do the following:

  1. Plug your charging cable into a USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display. Your tracker will begin charging.

  3. Press the button on your charging cable 3 times within a few seconds, briefly pausing between presses. The button is on the end of the charging cable that is plugged into your computer. When you see the Fitbit logo and the tracker vibrates, this means the tracker has restarted.
  4. Unplug your tracker from the charging cable.

Catch you later. Smiley Wink

Before my screen went blank I had an exclamation point on the screen in a bubble (I think). I've tried to reset it a few times but the watch doesn't even register the charger connecting to it? It's definitely charged but looks dead, is there any other way of diagnosing it? I've had the watch for 2 years now

I'm having the exact same issue, and I've also owned mine for 2 years.

I didn't charge overnight though. It was working at the gym, and by the time I went to shower later, it wasn't working at all.

Let me know if you figure anything out!

I am having the same problem, it isn't charging

Even though I was only 2/3 weeks after the warranty expiry, Fitbit only have me a discount code for a new one so if resetting it doesn't work there's no other option. I moved to garmin for as their customer service is better. Good luck.

I have the same problem with my fit it and when I connected it to the charger I can't feel the vibration when they connect

You'll have to get a new one. I talked to service multiple times and tried
everything they said. Eventually they just gave me a discount for a new
device

What do you do if there is no charge, no vibration, no light, etc., once you have tried to charge and reboot multiple times at different times ? Everything appears to be connected accurately, and I have pushed the reboot button 3 times within 8 seconds multiple times. (I let it sit as well for a while) It just doesn't want to turn on today, and was working absolutely fine yesterday. Can anyone tell me what the issue is?

thanks!!!

I am having the same issue.  Was working fine yesterday, this morning won't turn on.  Plug it in, doesn't even act like it's connected to a charge, pushed the button, no logo and sitting on the charger - nothing is working...

It seems that many people have this issue... I fear it may be 'dead' 😞 Ho
hum... don't want to have to buy another 😞

This keeps happening to me.  I have to go through the steps to restart multiple times, and eventually it restarts.  Then it flakes out again.  I have had to restart it 5+ times in the last 3 days.

Yep, you're probably going to need a new one. Mine started that way and got
worse to the point that I would restart it and it would shut down a minute
later. Sorry!

I have never had a problem and then yesterday it dies. If I connect it to the charger it charges - currently 100%. As soon as I disconnect from the charger it does again. We’re you able to actually speak to someone?

Sorry to hear you are having trouble as well. Mine won't even turn on.
I decided to buy a new one. Unfortunately, I was past warranty date.
Good luck!
