Would you know how long the warranty is? My alta is giving me trouble as well. 2 days ago it was flashing through all off the screens. I reset it with the cable and seemed to work. The following morning the screen was black. I restarted again, seemed to help. Now this morning the screen is black again. I have restarted it twice. It showed 3/4 battery life, but now not working. Any thoughts?

I had this same issue and panicked.... I rapidly hit the restart button on the cable like 6 or so times ( the 3 times with a few seconds in between didn't work for me) the screen slowly lit back up dim at first then full brightness seems fine now I've beat mine up pretty bad and owned it for 3 years now seems to be ok now.

Same here. I’ve had mine for 3yrs (barely used it for the first 2 yrs - live once or twice a week.) It’s been about 5 months now since I started to use daily and yesterday, all of a sudden, it wouldn’t charge or anything. Tried resetting, and nothing. I can feel that it gets hot after leaving it charging, but no signal on the screen nor the vibration when connecting to charger. Is that it? 3yrs and it’s supposed to be trashed?

My inspired hr is doing the same thing, no screen, no lights on the back, no vibration when attempting to charge either through a computer connection or a wall plug.
Did you get an answer to your issue, besides the reset options.. I've tried that multiple times

Just an FYI to anyone experiencing this issue, after troubleshooting with the chat and doing everything I had read and doing it again with the chat I switched out my charging cable and USB power supply and it brought the Alta HR back to life. I don't know why this isn't a suggestion by the fitbit support team (probably selling a new device makes more money for them than a new charge cable) but this worked for me. I had purchased a few extra charging cables when the ones that came with our devices crapped out. I don't know if the fitibit charging cable or the power supply was the issue, will need to do some experimenting, but I am guessing the charging cable as the power supply works fine with a cell phone.

Hi, I tried these steps but my fitbit says visit www.fitbit.com/setup. Then I tried to set it up on my phone but it is not pairing and could not find it. It says "Is your Alta HR powered on?" but I guess it it not on because the screen is different. I hope you could help me find a way. Thanks.

I faced something similar yesterday. I was almost about to order my new alta-HR but then a basic remedy helped me out.
There was lot of 'dirt' deposited on one of the charging pins as well as the contact point at the back of alta-hr.
I cleaned both the surfaces. I also did the 3-times-on-off to restart. The device booted up and started charging.
PS: I am using the device for last 4 year 7 months. Once fully charged, the device stays on for a week!
