Been a Alta HR user for years and like it for it's simplicity and minimal presence on my wrist disguised as a bracelet. Recently, the screen started to get very dim to the extend that it was not readable out in the open. In addition, it started to just loss connection with the app for no apparent reasons. with the earlier experience, I thought it was a good idea to get another Alta HR as a replacement, even though it is already not supported by fitbit.
Happily I got a brand new Alta HR online. But that's when the disappointment begins. When connecting for the first time, it says the firmware needs updating. But the updating didn't work. I searched online for solutions and since then I've tried all sort of resetting and restarting shared by other users: from restarting the bluetooth, reset the fitbit, restarting the smart phone, re-installing the app, I've tried them all. Still does not work.
Coming into this forum, I hoped to find a solution. But my hope gets dimmer as I browsed through the other threads having similar problems one way or another, some which were written years back. Wow, what has the company been doing all this while?
I still hope for a miracle that someone can share a method that makes the device work.
Thank you.
