Alta HR won't work unless it's connected to the charger

My alta HR will come on while on charger but when i unplug it just shuts down, sync on app shows red circle with ! in it

I cannot seem to get it to reconnect.

@RayIslandwalker you could try restarting your Fitbit a few times. The instructions for that are here.

That may help, but the Alta HR is an older device and, as I'm sure you know, rechargeable batteries do have a finite number of charging cycles. It's possible that your Fitbit may be near the end of its lifespan.
