Alta HR working only when plugged into charger

When on the charger screen shows charged , responds to taps,  shows time and other information. When charger is removed screen is blank& doesn’t respond to taps.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the details that were shared with me. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know if the heart rate sensors are flashing or is your device completely unresponsive? If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check our help article: Why isn't my battery charging on my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes. Such article includes a restart process which can be really helpful for this situation.

Mine is having the same issue! Seems like a lot of similar issues in the last month with the Alta HR. Failed update?

I'm having the same issue with my alta hr, since last Thursday. When I unplug it, will stay working for a few minutes and heart censors light flash. Then it goes completely dead. Please tell us how to fix it.
