Alta HR works on charging cradle but turns off once released

Hello, i have searched for this issue, but can't find the answer. I have an Alta HR. When it is plugged into the charging cradle it works and i can sync it to my iPhone app. However, once i take it out of the cradle it seems to die. The screen is blank and unresponsive. Can you anybody advise?

Just to add, i have reseted, using the button on the cable a few times and it still does the same

Any luck?  Mine just started this today.  I have had it a little over a year

You might get another two weeks and you will end up called no Customer Service

Mine just started doing the same thing yesterday.  I have also reset the fitbit a few times.  Any updates on what happened to yours?

I believe it's dead.  I have restarted it many times.  I works for about a minute and then turns off.  From all the posts it appears that the Alta HR is made to work for about a year or so.  That way you have to buy a new one.  Not this girl.

Thanks for the reply. I chatted with a rep and he basically told me I had
to replace it with a newer model since alta's are no longer made. I got
mine just over 2 years ago and of course the warranty is only good for
one year.
