I no longer receive low battery notifications.
Also, my fitbit Alta dies quickly even after showing 2/3 charge a few hours earlier.
I tried to reset it. The reset instructions say you should see the fitbit symbol after pressing the button on the charger 3 times quickly within a few seconds. The fitbit vibrated but only showed the battery symbol.
Any ideas?

Hello @Connierose65 welcome to our Community Forums! Let me help you out with your battery difficulties.
First, I'd like to appreciate your time and effort troubleshooting this matter prior posting. Our Alta device was designed to last 5 days, but the battery life also depends on how frequently you use it’s features. I’ll recommend charging your Alta with a USB port from a computer or a UL-certified outlet into the wall, then turn off all the features that you don’t use and check this help article for more tips and recommendations.
Also, if you're not receiving battery notifications via email or phone, I'd like to suggest you to reset these notifications by disabling them from the Notifications settings on the online Dashboard. Then, save the settings, enable them back again and save one last time.
Please keep in mind that if your tracker has not synced and the battery is low you won't receive the notification until the tracker has been synced with the Fitbit app. Additionally, please make sure to check your spam folder in case any email from Fitbit has been redirected there and check that the following settings are enabled in your phone under Settings > Notifications > Fitbit:
Keep me posted, I’ll be right here if you need anything else.

I have done all steps suggested, but the problem continues. (Battery indicator shows half charged or more, but device dies daily). Is my only recourse to buy another Fitbit?

We have just bought an Alta for our daughter with money she save up for it, it is 24hrs old and full charge lasts between 20 min and two hours. Multiple resets, removed from fitbit app and reinstalled same issue. Reset same issue. Follow all help instuctions still goes flat within minutes to hours. Turn off notifications still happens. Charge from laptop still goes flat too quickly. My versa 2 lasts 6-7 days every time my wifes inspire lasts 4-5 days. Daughter is heart broken whats the answer?? Does she have to buy a new one. Or will it be replaced.

Overnight down to 75% pluged in and instantly says fully charge. Can this be fixed??? Or are we wasting our time

My battery indicator also does not show the correct charge. It shows about 75%, and then my Fitbit dies. I am waiting to hear back from the Fitbit people. You should definitely have some recourse, since you just purchased yours. Mine is not new, but I’m hoping for a solution to this problem. Good luck!

It was suggested to me, by the Fitbit people, to remove all notifications that I had set up on my Fitbit. I did everything they suggested, but nothing really helped. They ended up giving me a good percentage off of a new Fitbit, so now I have a Charge 3. I’m very happy with it and so far, so good with it keeping its charge. I’m sure the Fitbit folks will help you out in some way. My Alta HR was several years old, so I’m happy with the outcome.
Good luck!
