Alta charges but when taken off charger does not respond to taps

Have bought a new charger as well as a Fitbit charger and a new bracelet for my Alta. Put it onto charger  to charge shows battery symbol nearly at full tap the screen and it works. When I remove from charger get blank screen and tapping it shows no display. Is it broken?

Mine is doing exactly the same and doesn't seem to be any help out there except that it is unusable and unreturnable under warranty as over 12 months old?  Have you had any joy fixing the problem - if so help!!

Mine finally charged after cleaning but the screen is very faint. Also it is not under warranty and only 1 1/2 year old. Does seem funny that it quit working so soon. My other one is still going after 4 years

Thanks for replying. No not had any joy.I spent £20 on fitbit charger and
bought a new fancy bracelet for it and after all that does not work!!!
