My 9 year old sister has just got a Fitbit, it says we cannot create an account for her as she’s too young but when we try to set up a child’s account we cannot connect her device as it’s not compatible for a child’s account, what are we supposed to do?

This is a problem. Fitbit's terms of use require that children use a child's account and a child's account will only work with the Ace and Ace 2. The only way you could use an Alta was if the date of birth entered in the setup suggested the person was an adult. Of course, doing this in this case would breach the terms of use and I'm sure you wouldn't want to do that....

Hi @Laurenclarke03 it's great to see you around. Thank you for the input @SteveH.
I was able to see here that our friend @SteveH provided information about your inquiry. Similar to many online services, our Terms of Service don't allow customers who are under the minimum age to create standard Fitbit accounts. The minimum age is 13 (customers in the EU may have different minimum age guidelines based on their country).
On a side note, if you want to create an account for your child, please consider Fitbit Ace 2, which is designed for kids 6 and up, or Fitbit Ace, which is designed for kids 8 and up. See www.fitbit.com/ace2 and www.fitbit.com/ace.
Keep me posted if you have any questions.
