Alta heart rate and battery issues

My Fitbit alta sucks.

1. keeps needing to be recharged 3-4 days after a charge... and it won't fully charge unless I leave it on the charger overnight.

2. the heart rate monitor doesn't seem to work at all.  it's been weeks since it's captured my heart rate.

the Fitbit team offered me a discount for a replacement unit but what they need to do is develop and produce a product that works.  this is the 3rd unit in a row that's failed me.

By the way, my problem seems to be VERY common.  I now have to charge it every 2-3 days and the HR monitor hasn't worked for months. Ridiculous.  I hope that Google didn't overpay for you all.  This is my 3-4th Fitbit from you all in 5 years or so.  they keep dying!
