After collecting my new alta hr today I'm disappointed to find it won't connect to my Bluetooth. I have previously had a charge hr and flex and had no issues connecting either of these with initial set up. So far I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, turned my phone off and on again, turned Bluetooth on and off again but no luck so far.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for any advice

After an hour and a half of doing all of the above I have finally managed to get it to sync. A frustrating start to my new fitbit 😡

That sounds frustrating. I hope it syncs OK from now on!

I hope you're doing well @PattyAnnStew and welcome to the Fitbit Community @CMGK! Are you still experiencing issues when syncing your Alta HR's? If you do, I recommend performing these syncing troubleshooting steps for iOS devices to fix!
If you are not able to pair it to your account; please do this:
@SuffolkScot Thanks for joining the Fitbit forums! Glad to hear you are back on track now. How is it working? Is it syncing properly now?
Also, feel free to update the Fitbit app for Android devices to its latest version (which is version 2.45, released on March 20, 2017).
Keep me posted!

My Alta HR won't connect to Bluetooth on my Android Moto X phone. I've uninstalled/reinstalled the app, turned off Bluetooth and still nothing. I was able to have the notifications/Bluetooth connectivity with my Charge HR.
Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Yes & it directed me to Google play to my app & I did the update, restarted my phone, followed the instructions. I have a collection of fitbit.com & never had a problem changing them out.
Figured it out. Can't replace my current Alta with the HR. Deleted it & the app found the new Alta HR just fine. That is probably an important bit of info for new purchases.

Hi, I was super frustrated until I realized I bought an "Alta," and was trying to connect to the "Alta HR" software....as soon as I selected the Alta, it connected right away...I'm thinking I'm not alone, as they look pretty much the same.

The fitbit app is up to date.
My Android version is up to date.
The Alta HR screen won't show anything other than the setup URL.
The fitbit is on and fully charged.
There are no other trackers nearby.
Location settings are on, the fitbit app has been authorized to access.
I have tried to connect my Samsung Galaxy S4 for over an hour, restarted the phone, the bluetooth, the Alta HR, but it just. will. not. connect.
Please help!

Do you have any other devices in the house (mobile phone, tablet, laptop etc) with bluetooth turned on? If so, turn it off on all other devices and try again. Let us know if that helps (or not lol)

If you have an Alta HR be sure you select Alta HR from the list of trackers. When I tried to install mine I kept selecting Alta instead of Alta Hr. Kept getting the message "not connecting" and "Bluetooth not connecting". Real frustrating. As soon as I chose the right tracker it paired immediately, updated the firmware and synced.
