Alta hr wont connect to bluetooth

After collecting my new alta hr today I'm disappointed to find it won't connect to my Bluetooth.  I have previously had a charge hr and flex and had no issues connecting either of these with initial set up. So far I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, turned my phone off and on again, turned Bluetooth on and off again but no luck so far.

Does anyone have any suggestions?  Thanks for any advice

Hi, my AltaHR syncs only if I set it up as a new device. From that point on all further sync attemps fail. I've noticed the sync suspention just after the last app update. I'm using android 7 on a lenovo K6.

Unfortunately I don't think that phone is on the Supported Devices list so that is probably why you are having problems. Do you have a tablet or laptop you could use for more reliable syncing?

Hi @NellyG, thanks for the reply.

Same with Iphone SE.
And it's been working fine before the last days. The phone supports bluetooth 4 incl. BLE. Is the app connecting with other means than provided androids BT API's?

Hi,

I have my fitbit for a year now and has been amazing! I use to have same
problem when I was using samsung 7. Now I am using s9 and no issues! When I
had that problem before, I use to connect my fitbit to my tablet and then
it will connect again and update! It's worth trying it!

I am positive you will get sorted.

Regards!

Try the following. Ifbthat doesnt work contact Support (Link in my signature )

Restart your tracker at least three times in a row.
http://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186
Then go to Bluetooth Settings on your phone and unpair the tracker, turn off bluetooth and restart your phone. Turn bluetooth back on and try syncing again, making sure there are NO other bluetooth devices within range, or they are switched off.

If it is still not working, have a read of the Help Article below and work through all the checks and suggestions.

Take it back and exchange it for one that is not remotely connected to FITBIT.

This company obviously does not care less that they have hundreds of thousands of customers who have a useless piece of kit.

Maybe the media ought to take this one on. Because we are just fobbed off with the promise of an update at some stage?????? NOT GOOD ENOUGH FITBIT

I am also having sync issues with my Alta HR on multiple supported devices (Surface 3, Honor 6X)

Restarting the Alta HR has fixed sync issues one time, but the issues returned. Restarting phone, tablet, tracker, toggling bluetooth, unpair / re-pair, etc. Nothing seems to enable my tracker to consistently sync.

My altra hr has suddenly stopped connecting to my Sony Xperia  mble and my samsung tablet after 4mths.On my mble/Tablet app It's showing my fit bit battery as quarter full? even when it's recharged.

I've forced stop and also uninstalled. And reinstate fitbit. Still not talking to mble/tablet.

When I refresh my Bluetooth its not showing my altra is???

Hi!

I got a new phone yesterday and transferred all data from my old one onto new. My fitbit wasn’t syncing properly so I stupidly deleted it and thought I’d I re-added it that would sort the problem but now I’m unable to connect it to my Iphone.

I’ve tried all of the suggestions you’ve put and nothing is working😫

Problem for us appeared to be my Charge 3 was too close to the Alta HR. Had to take the Charge 3 into another room completely across the house and shut the door before it let my gf set up her Alta HR
