Alta just suddenly stopped working

Yesterday it was fully functioning and the battery was almost fully charged. Went to check it before bed and it wouldn't turn on, completely black screen. Today I connected it to my computer and even though it connected to sync, is doing nothing. Help please!

Thank you for sharing this information about the screen of your Alta device that is showing a black screen. 

 

Before considering other options, could you please confirm if you already tried the steps listed here to complete the restart procedure? This has been useful to other users experiencing something similar.

My Alta also shuts off on its own after about an hour of use. I have reset the device several times as recommend, but it will still only work for an hour or so before shutting off again. Device is almost 6 months old, without daily use. Any further suggestions?
