Mine is doing this same thing and I called customer service and was given the worst customer service.. Then they proceeded to tell me they would send me a 25% off promo code so I could just buy a new one.. Hahaha why would I want a new one if the one I already have won't even work. I don't know how to fix this issue I'm sorry as the things I was told to do did not fix it.

My fitbit was about a year old when it started doing this. Because of it's age I just bought another new unit. The new unit started this very same issue. It randomly just shuts off regardless of the battery state. I feel like it must be a problem with their firmware but they literally are ignoring my emails.
I have followed the reset process dozens of times. There are other issues as well, when I get a phone call it displays the wrong person on the fitbit.

I have also had mine for a year and mine just starting to do the same thing. Can’t get in touch with customer service either.

Same thing has been happening to me. It’s so frustrating. And when I talked to the customer support, they told me there’s nothing more that can be done since my device is beyond the warranty period of 1 year. I was like okay, what if I want to buy a new Fitbit, will I get a discount in exchange of the old one. They were like it’s not in our policies to do that. I used to love fitbit and couldn’t ever imagine changing to other brand. But now I am looking at other brands. Much cheaper and the reviews are good too. Anyway, this particular issue apart, I feel like fitbit’s quality is getting down and prices are going up. My friend’s brand new Versa won’t sync with his android phone and it’s heart rate sensor is also defective. As much as I want to support this brand, I can’t help but feel betrayed. I am looking at other options and I suggest you all to do the same. Love..

Mine has recently started doing the same thing - it completely shuts down despite having a full (or modestly full) charge, and tracks NOTHING! Beyond frustrating.

They offered the same discount to me with my alta. I think they know something is wrong and trying to cover it up with a discount.
