I've had my fitbit for maybe 3 years now and it stopped working about a year ago. I tried fixing it back then but just came across it again and thought i'd give it another go.
It works perfectly fine when plugged in. Tapping the screen works. Even works when unplugged while the screen is still on from the charge but as soon as the screen turns off it doesn't turn on again.
I have tried the reset with a computer, I have tried syncing and fully charging it. It stopped working randomly. Had been working fine one day put it onto charge one night and it just stopped working.
My sister's did the exact same thing around the same time and so did a friends. (Fit bits weren't made to last past 2 years??)
Any other successful stories to fix it or is it just bin material and an excuse to buy an apple watch?!

I am currently having the exact same issue. It stopped working (unless plugged in) two or three days ago. Can you offer any assistance?

I’m having the exact same problem! I can see everything on the screen while plugged into the charger but when I take it off the screen is blank? I can’t get it to turn on?

They have contacted me. They did send out a replacement fitbit but that was also faulty and wouldn't charge. I am currently waiting for another one hopefully this one works!

I am also having this problem. I happened a few months ago and I stopped wearing it. Now I want to get focused again and it still wont work.

I have this exact problem with my alta Fitbit. However it was a gift, and by the time I got it the warranty had already expired. I haven't used it ever it's fresh out of the box

I’m having this problem as of today. I’ve had my Fitbit for about 2 yrs, worked great. I moved in May 2019 and I haven’t worn it since then. Kept it in a safe, clean container during those months. Wanted to start wearing again, charged it overnight and the Fitbit displayed a full charge while plugged in. When I took it off the charger to sync with my app it wouldn’t find the Fitbit at all. Plugged it back in and it was able to sync while plugged in to the charger, also able to tap through all the displays on the Fitbit while plugged in. When I unplug it doesn’t turn on at all. Please help me fix this!

I’m having the same issue. Deleted and re-downloaded the app. Disconnect and then connected my Alta again. Restarted the Alta via the cable button already too. No success, please help. My Alta is basically new and I use it only occasionally.
