Alta only working on the charger.

My new Alta only works while on the charger when I put it on the screen doesn’t work. I have restarted it and nothing changes.

Hello @CarJak12 Welcome to the Community Forums!. Thank you for restarting your Fitbit Alta. 

 

I would like to confirm if when the Alta is on the charger, if you're able to see that it is charging correctly. You'll know the connection is secure when the
tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on the screen. A fully charged tracker shows a solid battery icon.

 

If you don't see the above, then please try to perform some basic troubleshooting steps for battery not charging by following the tips in the link below: 

Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?
