Hi, I've seen tons of these issues on here the past 2 years. I recently found out my mum stopped using her Alta because of this common issue. I want a replacement please.
I've reset multiple times, the device only works on the charger, it will not work when disconnected. If you tap the screen whilst on charge you can use the Alta as normal and once you unplug, it will still display until you let the screen sleep and then it won't come back on until connected to the charger.
I'm really disappointed in this as my mum is not very technical and just decided to stop using the Alta rather than cause a fuss. She wants it to track her fitness during Covid. I've reset it several times in a row as indicated in all the other posts, cleaned it and the battery is full also. Please help me out!

I really appreciate the response, although it has been several months since this post. I appreciate the help nevertheless!

I have had the exact same issue with my Fitbit Alta. Mine has not turned on in over a year. It is very disappointing to see that Fitbit continues to sell a faulty product and scam people out of their money. I have tried everything to turn it on, and I contacted a service representative last year whose only response was a coupon for a different product. I started out very optimistic about their products, but now I have lost 100 dollars and my trust in their company.

I have exactly the same problem, getting pretty cheesed off the be honest! I've had my tracker for 3years. I read that apparently they are designed to last for around 2years and then they start to fail! Shocking that they charge for a premium product and then after a few years they start to message you to upgrade! Now we know why. I had a cheap tracker before my fitbit. It only lasted a year and didn't mind having to replace it when it only cost £20. You'd expect something that cost £130 to last a bit longer. Not happy.
