Alta turns off after silent alarm

My Alta is nearly a year old and I’ve just had the band replaced now it has started turning itself off when I tap to turn off the silent alarm. The battery still has charge and it turns back on when plugged in. I’ve tried the reset button on the charger but it hasn’t made a difference.

Mine started doing it a week ago.

I guess that's it with this watch?

I do not see a working solution here.

True. I switched to Garmin. Didn't try any other Fitbit product after what
happened with the Altas. Lost faith completely in Fitbit after even the
replacement did the same thing straight out of the packaging. Fitbit didn't
even care to acknowledge or take any responsibility.

Hope your Alta gave you some good couple or more years of service before
dying. Mine were barely 1-1.5 years (had gifted them to family members).
Don't want to jinx it but have had the Garmin for almost 2 years now &
happy with it.

Mine almost lasted 3 years. So I guess that is the standard life time of this kind of a product nowadays.
But yes, it did serve it's purpose while still alive 🙂
Just need to find a new one now.
Garmin you said?

Lucky you 😄 mine were sub-standard in that case. Worst being the
replacement didn't even last a day.

Yeah. I went for Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music. Better GPS (& related
features), water proof, stores music & plays via BT headphones, heart rate
& sleep tracking. Battery life is pretty much the same.

After almost 3 years my Alta HR just started doing same.  I was hoping for a fix but that appears not to be the case.

@Fregen that's about how long my Alta HR lasted. I upgraded to an Inspire 2 and I really liked it. It's slightly larger than the Alta, but it has a lot more features.
