Hi @Brydenw where did you get the Alta new? It was retired several years ago and is no longer being made. Could be the battery was completely dead when you got it. You need to do a restart of the device using the charging cord and the button that is on it. Have you tried that?

I have had it for a couple years and it won’t turn on and I have not tried the usb thing

@Brydenw here is the link to the Alta user manual and related help articles - click to go there. To do a restart, you can follow these directions - click - using the charger unit that came with your Alta. You'll need to charge it up and while it's charging, read the instructions on how to set up. Let us know how things go for you.
