Alta won't work outside charger

My battery is fully charged but I take it off the charger and it will not turn on.

If your tracker isn't working outside the charger, I recommend restarting the unit by following the steps in the help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?.

My Alta will not reset and will not work even through it is fully charged 

At the moment that date is set to 9th February and it is now 10th Feb 11am

I've been facing a similar issue  - I did not use the device over the last couple of months, but when I plugged in the device early this week, it had sufficient charge and also got charged to 100%, but the moment I disconnect the charger, it stops working and the display doesn't come up. 

 

I tried performing a reset following the above instructions, but that hasn't helped. Could you please suggest what alternate option is available?
