Alta won't work outside charger

Hi, my Alta won't stay on unless its on charge the second I take it off it turns off. I can't restart it either have tried loads. It's about 3 so is it just dead?

 

It had been playing up previously when ever I took it off it would turn off even full charged so I'm thinking it's dead. Don't really think 3 years is long to have it though 😞
