Since the update earlier this summer I keep getting an error message on my app, "no device found". It can be working fine and then disconnect in the middle of the day. The only way to get it connected is to plug it back into the charger,,,even though there is still 75-80% charge left. It had been happening every 3-4 days. Now it is happening after one day. I charged it yesterday to get it to connect and today it can't be found. The fitbit is only one year old.

A warm welcome to the Community @debaelliott. Sorry for the delayed reply.
I appreciate the details mentioned and the troubleshooting tried. I would like you to make sure you have a supported device, after this try this syncing procedure and continue monitoring your data.
Keep me posted. I'll be around if you need further assistance.

Exact same problem here. It has nothing to do with the device or the phone as I had no problems with it before the update. Bluetooth is on, internet is strong, Alta is charged...

Same issue on both my phone and laptop. Sometimes if I log out of the app on my phone then log back in, it will sync. When that doesn't work, I'll turn my phone off and back on to get it to sync. Today, after syncing successfully between 10 and 11 am, Alta won't sync to my phone or my laptop despite trying all of my 'tricks'.
Pessimist that I am, my guess is Fitbit no longer supports the Alta (or their other older trackers) in an attempt to force users to shell out $$ for one of their newer trackers.

I am also having the same problem. Just stopped counting steps and the time is wrong and after I try to sync it says device not found. And I am also getting Chinese characters instead of English in the help section. My Fitbit is 3 years old and this is the first time I am having a problem. PLEASE FIX THIS!

I have the same issue. My fitbit has been working well before the last couple of months so there should be no reason it is not supported. The answer given is unhelpful. I have also tried restarting my fitbit. this hasn't helped either. turning bluetooth of and on again and reinstalling app. Finally got it to sync but have manged to get it to resync before after much messing and it happening all the time now. It is not good enough!

My alta fitbit is not tracked by my samsung galaxy.it suddenly from 11th jan. I tried deleting the app, forced stop of the app, bluetooth on and off etc., i tried to add as a new device but its not doing that. Tab shows alta is paired. I am fed up.

Same with Versa Lite, about half the mornings it syncs fine, the other half you have to go through the various steps mentioned above. Time to move to an AppleWatch

I think that we will get the same support that Google provides for their other products. None. I can't get my alta to sync, sometimes bluetooth finds it sometimes not. My new phone does not support Fitbit (it's a Samsung A50) so I need to be able to sync it to my computer.
