My device is recording my heart rate as usual but it is no longer showing my average bpm and time in each heart rate zone associated with logged exercise. I am syncing with my iPhone SE.

We need some feedback ASAP, please.
how long can it take to fix this software problem? It used to work, just downgrade the app/ infrastructure to before 29 July 2019!

I've emailed tech support again today. Let's see what they say.

@SiBudge, I think making Customer Support work at this is important so it's great that you have taking the time let them know.
I don't know anyone who has a FitBit with HR monitoring who has the graphing feature working. It would be interesting to know if there are people out there who actually still have HR graphing and GPS mapping happening. Does anyone know of someone who has it working still? I mean is it just us or is it everybody?

Hi hallolinski,
I checked it out after you posted. The Garmin Forerunner 245 looks amazing! A little too big for me but I like it. I’m looking for a smaller tracker, not a smart watch, that has GPS, voice clues, and all the other things my AltaHR has... I mean had. If you know of any, please send me a link. I’ve researched so many trackers that I can’t see straight. (Or maybe that’s just from trying to see the new downgraded app!)
Do you like the app for Garmin?

Hi Franny,
I love my Garmin so far.
If you want a smaller version and less smartwatchy, also cheaper, checkout the garmin forerunner 45s. This is the "s" smaller version and is intended for slimmer wrists or people who just like a smaller version. The app is splendid. Excactly the right balance between useful data but not overengineered.
I have a more solid feeling with the way the garmin hardware and software is designed and currently working compared to FITBIT.
Cheers!

Hi hallolinski,
have you had a change to gather data, how Garmin measurement results differ from Fitbit measurements, especially bmp and GPS measured distance -> speed?
I have noticed with my Polar Ignite, that measured distance is regularly 3-5% shorter than Fitbit measurements (=Iphone 8 GPS). I assume Fitbit has the correct measurement data in this case, but I am not sure. Both have only ballpark values for altitude.
I tend to trust Polar heart rate measurement results more, and since Fitbit is currently missing the data, it is difficult to compare. It seems that results are consistent, although as I have trained regularly, I can now run faster with the same avg bpm.
Thanks!

I hope that some of you get to read this response before it possibly gets deleted for cross-posting, since I requested that we get this feature back on the "Feature Suggestions" forum.
Yes, I got a reply about 2 weeks ago on "Feature Suggestions" stating that they "are working on it" but no response to my question asking for an update a week later.
I'm angrily amused by some of the Fitbit customer service responses stating that Alta HR doesn't do what it had been doing up until July 29., as if it was never a feature. I , too, used this feature for training and it was the main reason I bought an Alta HR and not just the plain Alta.

I find it quite bizarre that they have no problem pushing useless updates that only change look and feel of the app but when it comes to fixing an actual problem by simple reverting to an earlier update it’s all “oh thanks for letting us know we are working on it”

Still no fix. Been over a month. Nothing but platitudes and dishonesty.

Could you please detail how our comments and feedback has helpful Fitbit improve this issue of no longer being able to graph AVG, HR data while using the GPS function? With all due respect, I can’t seem to find an improvement anywhere. 🤔.
Thanks!

Please reinstate the ability to view heart rate data when using tracked exercise. It was removed from the app on 29 july

This has been an issue on most FITBIT devices since 29-07-2019.
a feature that once worked (for me over 2 years) was suddenly dysfunctional an info not displaying
you can follow the discussions on 'Avg bpm and HR zones not showing up in Exercise' to see that this is a large scale problem... please fix!

So disappointed. I can't afford to replace my Versa. It was a big treat when I got it. Now it doesn't do what I want. Are they planning on monetising this feature or does the software group at fitbit responsible for this feature need replacing by a more competent group?
