Back side of Alta HR

 If you look at the back of the watch there is a square that on mine looks like copper in color. I thought it used to be more dark or black in color. Depending on how the light hits it is a little black but just part of it. Wondering if that indicates the battery state? Anybody have a guess about

this?

@SunsetRunner   That square is the sensor for the heart rate.  The circles on both sides are the LED emitters.  The sensor can change its apparent color depending on the angle of the light hitting it, because of the components.  It has nothing to do with the battery.
