Battery drained and now won't charge

I didn't realize that the battery was low and it drained completely. I've tried to charge it but nothing happens. I've cleaned the pins with alcohol and used the same charger and cable that I always use but nothing. So I chatted with support and their only response was "I'll check your warranty". Shouldn't a Fitbit be able to withstand a drained battery? Does anyone have any suggestions to fix? I really don't want to have to buy yet another Fitbit. Thanks!

Hi @Fdavis1068 Unfortunately it sounds as if the battery is dying. Lithium ion batteries do deteriorate over time, and even when new they dislike being run down to zero and more so as they age. The Alta HR is now a retired model, and has been for 2 or 3 years at least, so yours must be getting on a bit. Sadly all you can do it to try restarting it a few times, but if that doesn't help then you need a new tracker.
