A few weeks back, I noticed that my heart rate monitor would not turn off. The green lights were on constantly. This meant that my battery life dropped to just a couple of days. I have tried everything. I turned the heart rate (HR) monitor off and back on in my settings (several times, with a sync each time) -- did not work. I have let it die so that I could charge it back in the hopes that doing so would reset the HR monitor -- did not work. In fact, when the issue first began, the front display went dark, but the HR monitor lights stayed lit for two DAYS longer.
Now I'm down to just a few hours of battery life. I cannot even get through a shift at work without my battery dying. Today it lasted under five hours. I am unable to wear it at night, so I cannot track my sleep patterns. I have to charge it all night, every night to get any use at all.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Is my situation hopeless?

I restarted it last night per the instructions I found here, and charged it all night. My battery lasted about five hours. The display is blank/black right now, but the HR lights are still on. Very frustrating.
