I have had my Alta for over two years now. Over the last week the battery drains in less than 24hours and it does not count steps accurately.
It shows the battery icon when I lift my wrist instead of my steps.
Help needed 😞

Welcome to the Community Forums @Ejiro, sorry for the delayed reply.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the details that were shared in your post. Let me share with you that the battery of our Alta device was designed to last 5 days, but this also depends on how frequently you use all of it’s features. That said, I recommend you charging your Fitbit device with a USB port from a computer or a UL-certified outlet into the wall and then turn off all the features that you don’t use that much. After doing so, please this help article for more tips and recommendations.
Such article includes as restart process that will refresh your device's system.
Keep me posted, I’ll be right here if you need anything else.
