Brand New Alta does not stay on after removing from charger

Bought this brand new from Groupon Jan 6, delivered Jan 10th from Groupon. They won't honor the warranty return, even though it was less than 30 days from when it was sent. I see post after post of this same exact problem. The fitbit is supposed to have a 1 year warranty, and I can prove my purchase, so what do I do? Shows fully charged. remove from charger, it turns off instantly. When I put it back on the charger, it vibrates and shows the fitbit logo, and shows it is fully charged. Did the reset with the button on the USB maybe 100 times so far. Never does it stay on after removal. Please advise the warranty process.

tried going thru the warrant return on here but it won't accept my groupon order number as a valid order number

Is this really an Alta? If so it has been about 5 years since it was manufactured. 

As for warranty. Did you talk to someone at groupon or contact.firbit.com

Says brand new. They are still sold in here at times as I did get a refund finally from Groupon in Groupon bucks, and repurchased another one and am waiting it's delivery.

 

Fitbit says they sold them new up until a year ago, so I think your 5 year guess is wrong. Brand new Standard fitbit alta's (not HR) are
