Brand New Alta only works when charging.

I have had this Alta sitting around for over a year and I decided that I would like to use my fitbit but I have now found out that the Alta's screen does not turn on at all when not charging. I have been reading through the forums and it seems that this is a common issue and fitbit offers no good resolution to the issue. To have something not work out of the box and not offer a good resolution is incomprehensible to me.

Hi @rthakk It is very sad that you can't get your Alta to work off the charger. Have you tried restarting it a few times? If not, then give that a try. The Alta has been a discontinued line for quite a few years now and as you have had it for over a year I doubt Fitbit will replace it (warranty is generally a year, in some places 2 years). But it is always worth contacting Fitbit Support and see if they are able to help in any way.
