Hi, that depends on whether the rechargeable battery in your Alta HR still is able to receive charge. As I am sure you know, all rechargeable batteries have a limited number of charging cycles, and they do deteriorate over time, especially if they have been allowed to remain in a deep discharge state for for months. So it may be that your Fitbit is now beyond its useful life, especially as the Alta HR is quite an old device now.
However, it is worth a try. Make sure the charging contacts are nice and clean and not rusty. If necessary you can clean them with a soft cloth or cotton bud and some rubbing (isopropyl) alcohol. Plug in the cord to a wall charger known to be working and give it two hours charge.
Once it has had two hours, try the restart procedure. Instructions are here . If nothing happens try the restart a couple more times. You might get lucky.
If after two hours charge it is still blank and unresponsive, then you know that your Fitbit has come to the end of its life and will need to be recycled responsibly.
As you may be aware, the Fitbit Inspire series replaced the Alta Fitbit series and in my opinion is a great improvement. I can highly recommend the Inspire 3 if you would like to replace your Fitbit.
