Greetings All,

Just bought the Note 9 last night...Does anyone have a solutions for keeping the sync for the Versa and the Galaxy Note 9? I seem to be able to receive the gmail messages but no text or phone notifications. How disappointing!

Thanks!

Shakti

Unfortunately I cant see that phone on the Supported devices list and I would guess that is why you are having problems. But go to your phones settings for notifications and check that you have show on the lock screen enabled and any other notification setting you can see, and see if that makes a difference.

What is the ETA for the Note9 to be compatible? If there is not a date set, I guess I will have to return the Versa.

@ShaktiShanti @GAMom5 Welcome to our Fitbit Community! As my friend @NellyG mentioned, the Galaxy Note 9 is not currently in the supported devices list and I'm afraid to tell you that we don't have an ETA when this device will be added. There are times that Fitbit trackers sync with new mobile devices but we don't guarantee that all the features (syncing, notifications, etc.) will work.

However, you can go ahead and vote for this Feature Suggestion, which requests compatibility of this mobile model. The more votes this request gets, the more chances it will have to be reviewed by our engineers and developers.

I appreciate your patience and understanding with this. Let me know if you guys have any doubts! Smiley Happy

@danyelefausto Thank you for joining us in this thread. Thank you for your interest in the Fitbit Versa as well. Regarding your question, the Galaxy Note 9 hasn't been added to the supported devices list yet. I appreciate. I also suggest you to give your vote to this  Feature Suggestion and our engineering team will be glad to review it.

Hi,  I was getting ready to return my Versa because I was not getting notified about phone calls and I was not getting notifications about text messages.   I think I have figured it out.  I have been getting notifications for both now all day.   Hopefully it continues but at least this worked for me.      To get notifications for phone calls simply restart both the phone and the Versa.   When I did that the phone calls came thru.   Also make sure that you have enabled notifications on the phone for calls and on the watch as well.

To enable notifications on the watch I had to go into my phone and open the "message" app and then look for settings (3 bars at the top) .   Then turn notifications on.  For some reason I had it turned off and did not know it

Thank you so much!! I just bought the Note 9 and I'm going to buy the Versa on February when I travel to EUA (in dolar is cheaper than real - brazil's money). I'm so happy to know that is working fine!!

Have a nice day 🙂

Hi, wrong answer, sorry. The Galaxy note 9 is not supported indeed.

Hi Nelly, IMHO you can better use this site: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2315/?q=compatible&l=en_US&fs=Search&pn=1, instead of the fitbit.com/devices site, although the Note 9 is indeed not supported yet. I found this out by trial and error.

well.. it's almost there! I believe it will be full compatible in a few weeks 🙂

Well it's mentioned on that page. My mistake was seeing it on the list and thought it was supported, but it needs to be highlighted to be sure it's supported by Fitbit. I think it will not last long before it will be supported, as it is already listed on this page.

I was thinking and comparing here both links and I think maybe you were right all the time... you see, the Galaxy S8 and S8+ is in different colors there... but both are in fitbit.com/devices.. I checked others too and the white or grey list doesn't mean anything!

Maybe they just need to update the list of supported devices and that's all 🙂

I got my note 9 to receive notifications already.  Initially I saw that Versa was not compatible with Note 9. But I got it to work

Did it work for you

Unfortunately....still unable to get phone and text notifications despite following your advice.... very disappointing.  Unfortunately...I haven't seen any updates from Fitbit either as to any ETA in addressing this compatibility issue.

@cemac1 Thank you for getting back! I would like you to try one more workaround if you haven't tried it: Please turn off your Note 9's Bluetooth for 10 seconds and turn it back on. Once you've done this, please go to your Fitbit app, then turn off and turn back on the notifications and see if your Versa receives notifications.

Let me know how it goes! Smiley Happy

That's weird... I got the Fitbit versa 2 weeks ago and everything is
working great! Nothing to complain at all!
Are both your devices with the lasted update?
