Deleted exercise still showing calories burned

I added an exercise with incorrect end time so I deleted it but the burned calories & exercise minutes are still showing.

IPhone 7 with a Fitbit Alta - I’ve deleted exercises before the last app upgrade with no issues. App version 3.30

When you delete an exercise session, assuming it was for a time when you were wearing the tracker, the underlying data, steps and calories burned remain as they were before you manually logged the workout.  It's just that after deleting it, it is no longer considered an exercise session, and the data comes from the actual recorded data, not from the parameters you used to log it.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Which is bad logic - when data for an activity is deleted, all data should be deleted. This worked in the past, so not sure why it’s not working now.
Plus, I find the adding of activities with the time in the past to be flawed. I used to be a software quality assurance analyst and would have failed this based on how it works.

I just had this same issue, accidentally logged a run for 20 hours instead of 20 minutes. Deleted the exercise and now it's showing that I burned >9000 calories yesterday and >5000 today.
