Hey @Johnsonc16 I'm glad to hear that you are up and running with your Alta! Keep the stepping up!

@Spayton9313 welcome! Were you able too to update your Alta? I see that you are using an iPhone, in case you still need some assistance regarding this, theres a couple of steps you can try after a failed firmware update:

  1. Restart your tracker.
  2. If your tracker has call, text, or calendar notifications turned on, turn them off and try the update again. If your tracker updates successfully, turn notifications back on.
  3. Reboot the phone and try the update again.
  4. If you still can't update, try using a different device if you have one available.

Let me know, if you need further assistance, I'll be around! Woman Wink

I have the same problem: Iphone 6, brand new Alta syncing for first time and the update stalls after entering the four digit sync code.  Finally, an exclamation (!) shows up on the Alta.  I have reset the alta at the USB cable and restarted the iphone - nada. This is frustrating considering its brand new...

Same exact thing happened to me. I deleted my fitbit flex from the app and when I went to try my new alta, the code came up and once I tried to sync it, the exclamation mark appeared and it won't let me do anything.

Any help appreciated 🙂

@Rinocat @A_Goldie @kreed82 @Jb1021 As a couple of days have passed since you last posted here, I wanted to reach out to confirm if you were able to get the issue resolved or not? If not, try a restart with these instructions. Let me know if that helps.

@SirRatto Try restarting the Alta with these instructions. If it doesn't work the first time, try it a couple more times. That should help you get back on track.

Got my new Alta 4 hours ago! The app doesn't update, the tracker doesn't reapond to any taps or touch and now, after having kept it on barge for some time, it shows an exclamation mark. I've put it back on the charging dock but I don't think it's charging anymore either. So disappointed!

Hi Cindy,

The suggestions did not work, unfortunately.

I used another phone, downloaded the app. When I add Alta in Devices, says "Update Application to continue" but app is up to date already.

I used Fitbit Connect on laptop, says "Found your tracker, enter 4 digit code" but my Alta is still showing the exclamation nark

Hi Cindy. My boyfriend is also experiencing issues with his Fitbit Alta. The same circular symbol with an "!" in the middle. I tried the method you had given to restart the fitbit from both a power adapter and a computer usb port. After trying several times, I still had no progress in restarting. I believe he also ran into this problem in the middle of the update like the previous user. Help!
