How can I factory reset my alta?

I guess there’s something wrong with your battery

The instructions on resetting the fitbit alta did not work for us. The fitbit will charge but the charge does not last a day.

Thanks for letting me know about your Alta, as well for your efforts while trying the restart. Since the battery isn't lasting, please verify that you're charging it by plugging the charging cable into a USB port on your computer or using a UL-certified USB wall charger. The battery level will also depend on how frequent you're using its features. For that reason, please check this help article that includes tips to improve its battery life.

I have gotten a new Alta which works better. I no longer have the defective Alta.

We have done all of the things suggested. The Fitbit doesn’t last a Day so it’s not just use.

I got my Alta HR from a friend. She already removed it from her account and all that. I have it paired with my phone and on my account but for some reason whenever we're together, my alta HR picks up her texts and calls. Is there any way to unpair my alta hr from her so I dont get her notifications?

Hi, @annnacarmina , yes!  In addition to removing it from her Fitbit account, she will need to remove it from her Bluetooth connections to her phone.  She simply needs to go to her phne’s settings, chose bluetooth settings / devices and remove/ delete the Alta.

Hpefully it will be clear hw to do this, but if yu need more help please just post again letting us know what phone she uses and someone will have more detailed instructions.

My Alta is stuck in the ! after an update that never ended. Tried the restart but still not working. I’m losing faith. What do you recommend?

my Fitbit Alta kemp’s dying while it is on my arm, then when I plug it in to charge, it says it has at least 70-80% left. Or if I take it off to bathe or shower, when I go to put it back on, it will be dead. Then I plug it in and the same thing happens.

My new Alta won't reset. Followed instructions, but don't get the logo, just battery icon. It has stopped tracking sleep, other stats working fine. Suggestions?

Ok so I took the advise about restarting my Fitbit Alta hr and my Fitbit is responding but it just keeps flashing the battery icon is that normal?
