I did not wear my Fitbit Alta for a full week due to surgery. Now when I put it on my watch is inaccurate. I have read your instructions and done them 5 times and still no luck. Help!

It's nice to see new members at the Fitbit Community @kuziw and @Arkiegirl1Robot LOL @kuziw, you can follow the set up instructions from the link @ TK47 shared with us.

How is your tracker inaccurate @Arkiegirl1? Could you please provide more information?

Catch you later!

I got my Alta in December and set it up. No problem. Then last week I did not wear it for 7 days due to surgery on my foot. Today I charged the Alta and am wearing it. The problem is my clock is not giving me an accurate time. I have tried re-setting and still the clock\watch is not accurate.
Disappointing as I use my Fitbit as my watch!

How do I reset the date and time

If the date and time is correct in your phone (cell).... then when you sync your Fitbit with the app on you phone everything is correct... I have never synced my Fitbit with computer so I really don't how that works, though I sought assume it's the same process. There is no way to manually reset!
Cheers

Issue still exist for my Fitbit Alta.  Phone has correct time, steps and data still have not reset after resync. I recharged phone and followed directions listed.  After midnight tonight, if the fix does not work -- will fitbit be replaced?

Alta should reset right away, shouldn't have to wait. Have you removed Alta from app then re-add?
I had a problem with another Fitbit and it was replaced... Call their 800 # first and see if someone can walk you through sync, my 70 yr old mom called and all is good now!

If your Alta isn't 'ON' I would call Fitbit... this is the number I called for a 'Charge' replacement that I owned before the Alta....

I have tried the resetting process and the logo never came up but the battery logo finally went away from being frozen on the screen. But now it won't turn on. What do I do?

I also want to say that I pushed the reset button four times instead of three times and it vibrated and then went to a black screen.

so i lost my original chargers and i ordered some without the button on them. is there still a way to reset the fitbit?

Hi, @tyjfoster, no, you cannot reset without the button.  Unfortunately, cheap 3rd party chargers sometimes don't come with the button.

If you have followed all the instructions to reset: The button on the cord holding it for 5 seconds while plugged in, plus in install, then reinstall app on smartphone....then call tech support at 877-623-4997... if it's less then a year old they may need to replace.
