I did but my Fitbit is not resetting and I had to get a new one. Are you connected to the computer? I called the customer service number and they were great. Gave me a discount on a new Fitbit

Hi, @RomanR1, if you do not see the Fitbit logo, your Alta has not reset. Please try the restart procedure again. It is important neither to press the button too fast or too slowly. Try saying aloud Press, One thousand, Press One thousand, Press, One thousand. Press the button each time on the word Press. Also, make sure, if possible, that the Alta is actively charging when you do the press (if plugged in to a computer/ laptop, make sure it is awake).

Did you find the dongle in the app store? If I forget to charge my alta, it stops connecting and I want to see if that'll work better.

HI @Julia_G I tried your suggestion of saying and pressing and my Alta will still not reset. Each time I press the button, it stops charging and when I release the button it vibrates. I'm sorry if I missed the answer to this problem earlier but I have tried every thing I can think of to reset the Alta. Thanks in advance!!

Hi, @Froclou, an 8 second pause between presses is much too long!
Make sure your Alta is correctly plugged in -- you should feel a very quick vibration and very briefly see the battery charging icon before the screen goes blank.
Then, while it is still plugged in and charging, press the button, say One Two, press again, say One Two, amd press a third time. Your Alta should restart.
Saying One Two should give you just about the right pause between presses. It should only be a second or two.
I hope this helps!

Hi, @Clairee, your Alta HR will not tell the correct time unless it is synced fairly regularly. In order to sync it, it must be connected to a Fitbit account.
You can connect multiple devices to aa single account, but only one of each device tyoe, so you cannot have two Alta HRs on the same account.
If your other Fitbit is also an Alta HR you will need to set up the one you want to use as a watch with a different email address. Once set up and synced, it should update the time, assuming the timezone is set to automatic. If it does not update the time, you can post here again and someone can help with getting the time right.

@aganzen2222, in that case you are either not giving a pause between each button press, or pausing too long.
I always say the number between each press -- that seems to make the wait just about right:
Press button
say "One"
Press button again
say "Two"
Press button the third time.
It's a little tricky! If you wait too long it won't restart... if you don't wait long enough it won't restart. Also it DEFINITELY won't restart if it isn't correctly plugged in and charging.

I've just bought a new Alta HR and there is not a button on the cord. Does anyone else have a way to reset?
