FitBit Alta wont turn in after taking it off the charger

I have fully charged my fitbit alta, however when I take it off the charger, it's no longer synced to the app and the display screen does not come on even if I double tap or raise my wrist. I am becoming so frustrated. What can I do to fix this.

Hello @Fitty31 and welcome to the Community.  Rechargeable batteries have a lifespan (3-5 years with care) and I suspect your battery is at its end of life.  The Alta was released about the same time as the Charge 2 and Blaze.  There are posts in all three forums from users having the same issue as you.  Sorry.
