Hi I am wondering if anyone one else has had their Fitbit Alta HR start to flick through settings by itself. My Alta HR randomly turned itself off last week with a full charge and since that has been going flat each day. On charging it today i had to use the charge button at the base of the charge cable to turn it on. Once it turned on I moved it to check the time and it started flicking through its screens by itself and the back heart rate led won't turn off. I have tried to restart it around ten times but it just keeps doing the same thing. I can't change any settings on my phone as it has stopped recognising the device.

My Alta HR is also flashing through the different items on the display. I have tried to reset but it does not work.

Mine started doing the same thing last week. Flashing through, died on a full charge, reset, worked for 1/2 day then died. I’ve done various steps that others have recommended with deleting and reinstalling app, resetting the Fitbit, letting it run down completely, could you please send me info on if there’s is something else I should try please? Thanks!!

I have the same problem. It is fully charged. I tried to reset it many times. It vibrates but the flashing/scrolling continues. I disconnected and then reconnected Bluetooth. I uninstalled the Fitbit from my iPhone but now cannot reinstall it because the tracker number does not appear on the phone. Is it time to give up? I am wondering if a different model is more reliable. I have owned this Alta HR for 21 months.

I allowed my Fitbit to run out of battery conpletely and left it to rest for a couple of days. I was then able to do a successful reset and my Fitbit is now working again.

I have had the same thing happen, got it going again 2 times, but, the past 2 days I can not , just a blank screen. Thanks in advance for what I should do.

The same thing started happening with mine today. I tried to do a reset, and each time, it goes to cycling through the display screens. My fitbit app on my phone can’t sync with it. I am thinking of trying to remove it and re-add...

Removed it from the app, and tried to reinstall, following the instructions, including turning the bluetooth on and off. The app recognizes the device, but I am not getting a code — just the same rapid cycling. This is really not ok

Mine has done exactly the same thing. My Fitbit started to flick through settings by itself. My Alta HR randomly turned itself off. I read to restart it to plug it in and hit the button 3 times, it worked. I took it off for work, when I put it on, again not turning on. I tried the previous process and it started flicking through its screens by itself and the back heart rate led won't turn off. I have tried to restart it around several times but it just keeps doing the same thing. I can't change any settings on my phone as it has stopped recognising the device.

My alta hr did similar. A few days of shutting itself down, even with better than half charge. Then when I do the reset, it scrolls through all the displays and shuts off again. Only 1 of the green leds stays lit. Now at full charge and won't stay on or sync.
