Fitbit Alta HR - switched off and won't charge

Hi my Fitbit Alta HR will no longer charge.  I plugged it in to charge as normal and got nothing.  I've moved plugs, plugged it in directed via the USB, bought a new charging cable and pressed the button on the USB end of the cable with no luck.  

 

Prior to this it was working perfectly and held its charge for a reasonable amount of time.

 

Any ideas or suggestions welcome.

I would like to confirm if besides the troubleshooting steps you've tried, if you completed all the suggestions provided in the following link: 

Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?
