I have tried restarting my fitbit.

 

Yesterday I looked at my fitbit and it said I had 3000 steps. A few minutes later I went to look again and my fitbit stayed black. I just ignored it.

 

Today I tried to look at my steps and it wouldn't work! I came back here to look and restarting didn't help. I tried everything I could think of! Whenever I try to connect to the app it says "looking," and never does anything.

 

Please help!

I took my fitbit off for the day and had it on the table and now ot wont turn back on the screen is black i have tried the charger and everything and it still wont turn on what should i do ?

Same thing with me. I woke up and it stopped working. I plug it in and it works for just a few minutes and then powers off completely again

My Fitbit Alta screen is black. It remains black when plugging it in to charge.

Woke this morning to a black screen after recording all requested info yesterday.  Tried to reset but nothing.  When I plug it in it vibrates,but the battery appears dead even after several hours plugged in.

HELP!

I totally agree. I have had 2 Fitbits now and they have only lasted 2 years. It's really frustrating! Especially when they cost a decent amount of money and have been well taken care of. It's sad that I asked for a new one for Christmas because I already knew my Alta was on its way out.

Ditto that. I still have one I bought about four years ago that has not worked in almost two years. Rather that contact the company I simply bought a new one then the wrist band connector simple separated from the device and I did call and was sent a new one. I am seriously considering other products if this one fails again.
