Hi, my Fitbit Alta’s battery is dead and it won’t change when I connect the charging cable. Is there anything I can do?

There are a few things to try in Fitbit's troubleshooting guide for charging issues at Help article: Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?
If that doesn't help then, as it says at the end of the guide, it's probably best to contact customer support.

Thanks so much for your reply. I have tried the reset options.
Do you know if there is a way to contact support via email? The live chat function doesn't seem to be working a present (due I assume to limited operations) and I'm not having much luck through twitter direct message either.

I'm not sure what happened to the email option. It used to be there on the contact page along with chat, phone etc but I've not seen it for a while. I'm afraid I don't have an email address for them.
You're right in that live chat will only be available when the service is staffed. It seems to be available to me at the moment so maybe keep trying?

Thanks for your help. I will keep trying. Normally I would not be too worried- it is what it is, but I am participating in a step challenge and need "proof" of the issue.
