My Fitbit is nearly 3 years old and working fine then suddenly the display was lost, activity tracking and synching and although on checking the battery is full. Display and synching only possible when the Fitbit is plugged in through charger

Same issue with my Alta and it is brand new. I called customer support and they were not able to help me 😡

I tried that and it didn’t work. I think it is just a 💩 watch. So disappointed 😔

I bought mine in May from Amazon (after having had one in 2017 that stopped working in May) and now my new one is having the same issues. It is very frustrating. I did contact customer support and since its only been 3 months, they are sending me a new one but it's a pain. I should have never bought another FitBit because I should have known. I am sure the new one they send me will have the same issues.

I had that issue before, but now it thinks it’s charging when it’s not.

What is the life time of the Alta?
I'm having the same problem, when my Alta is connected to the charge all my steps, sleep etc are down loading but I just can't read the screen when it's unplugged which is hopeless, although the alarm is still working.
I use my Alta mainly as a watch so it's a bit frustrating, my third dress strap broke in the weekend too so I'm wondering do I just buy another device/model or a completely different brand?
some advice would be recommended from Fitbit

My fitbit Alta has been working sporadically since I updated my app. When I plug it in it shows the battery is 3/4 full but the display does not work unplugged. If I plug it in to be charged it charges full but then it dies within a day. When I plug it back in the battery shows 3/4 full?
I have restarted multiple times but still the same problem. I must admit I had not worn it for about 2 months.
Any suggestions?
thanks
Fran

My sister and I both have the same problem with the Alta and it seems the issues started with the last update, In both our cases the Fitbit was less than a year old.

Get your $ back, if you can, because there seems to be issues with various models especially after a year or a software update.

The software update seems to have bricked all the Altas and Fitbit does not seem to care.
