My Fitbit is nearly 3 years old and working fine then suddenly the display was lost, activity tracking and synching and although on checking the battery is full. Display and synching only possible when the Fitbit is plugged in through charger

My fitbit alta is also showing v21.40.02 which i understand is a battery problem. I've tried resetting it and the battery shows as charging. It then shows full battery but the screen remains black when i take it off charge. Really disappointed in Fitbit so will most probably try a different make moving forward

My fitbit is doing the same. it is around 3 years old as well Talked to customer service and he said the warranty is only a year but the display will last 3-4 years. He emailed me a 35% discount on buying another Fitbit.

Mine too...charges to 80 percent only . I woukd like a replacement. Is that possible?

I’ve been having this issue too and the best that Fitbit is able to offer, even though this is CLEARLY a software bug, is to offer me a 35% discount. Why can’t they just figure out what is going on in the software and send out one last hurrah! software update? (Probably because they phased out the Alta for the Inspire...)

Sorry, been there...just give it up because they won't do anything...the theory we bounced around is that they did it on purpose. The Altas were working too well and lasting too long...

Mine is also approx 3plus years old. Whenever I take it off for a shower, it won't work until I plug it into the charger, even though it was fully charged.
Now it won't sync.

I am also having the same issue where my Alta screen just goes black. The strap has also broken so it keeps coming off my wrist 😞

I am having the same issue. Alta fully charged. Display shows while on charger. Off the charger, screen goes black. Love my Alta. Please help.

Skimming through various accounts, it looks like I’m not alone. Obviously a company moving on with technology and leaving consumers out of luck except to buy new. Planned obsolescence as it goes with all companies. Let’s add to the waste of the world as there’s no money in something lasting much beyond two years.
